Sad News

A few weeks ago we lost our precious Weezer. He died in a tragic accident and we were so sad to loose him. He loved his babies. I would bring him to visit his kittens from time to time and he always licked them and made over them . He was a real sweetie. He had become good buddies with our Himalayan, Bilbo. After he died Bilbo cried and cried for him. Bilbo now has Solomon to keep him company.

This is Joey he is from Skye and Weezer. We will keep Skye to breed with Bilbo and Joey will be our new Siamese stud. He is a blue point like his dad and a sweet kitty. We are so thankful we have a boy from Weezer that we could breed with the Siamese girls.

What We've Been Up To Lately

Here Ross (collar) and Joey are exploring the new "Man Cave". We were able to enclose our back porch so that the breeding males could have their own territory away from the girls. They can get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. There are lots of things to climb on, scratch on, toys and tunnels. Currently Bilbo, our Himalayan stud and retired stud, Solomon live out here. When Joey gets a little bigger he will move out here permanently.

This is Buckwheat (sealpoint) and Darla (chocolate point). These were Myrrh's babies. These two went so quickly we never had to advertise them.
Here's Darla helping me with my puzzle.
Sheba (mom to Myrrh and Lily). Helping me with my puzzle. Sheba is my constant companion. Sheba is pregnant now, her kittens will born in a few weeks.
This is Bilbo. He is our new Himalayan Stud. He is a chocolate point. We will be breeding him with Skye eventually. She is a long-haired Siamese or a Birman. We are hoping for Himalayans with a bit longer nose. This promotes easier breathing and better overall health than the pushed in face similar to a Persians.

Nine Weeks Old

Raj
Raj is a sweet little guy,
very playful.
I woke Raj up to get his picture.
Yawn.
These are my two girls.
Leslie and Penny.
Leslie is a brave girl, she was the first to explore the house and she loves our dogs.
Penny is a pretty girl. She looks very much like her mom and is an independant soul.
Penny by herself, sweet and pretty.
Sheldon.
Sheldon is silly always doing something goofy.
I caught Howard "waving".
Howard is a good boy, likes playing with everybody.
Leonard.
Leonard likes to lick and nibble. He never bites hard.
He also loves to be with us and is the most loving.

Sheldon and Howard went outside to play today.
Sheldon looks slightly terrified.

Seven Weeks Old.

The kitties are getting big and having fun exploring the house.
It's hard to believe they are 8 weeks old already.
I need to give them their 1st shots today!
Everyone enjoyed tax free shopping this weekend!
This is Penny she is every bit as pretty as her momma.
Leslie is our brave adventurer.
She was the 1st in the litter to try new things,
exploring the house and the dogs.
Here are 2 of they boys.
This litter of kittens look so similar I have a hard time telling them apart.

Obstacles in trying to get the laundry done.
Here are the new kids!
Just getting eyes open.
Sheba had two boys and one girl.
For names we stuck with the favorite TV show theme.
These babies are Olivia, Walter and Peter from "Fringe".

Six Weeks Old

All six!
These six week olds haven't been getting all the attention they are accustomed too.
Grandma Sheba has been getting it all.
Sheba's kittens were born very early on July 28.
I thought this scene was pretty funny.
Sheba is in labor, in her box where she belongs.
She has a little too much company.
We moved the other moms and kittens out to give her some space.
After several hours, Sheba has 3 sweet babies.
I haven't tried to figure out sexes yet.
Sheba and I have both been too tired for that.

Five Weeks Old

This baby is enjoying hanging out with his Grandma Sheba on the cat tree.
This has been a big week for the kittens.
They are all big enough to climb out of the large box they had been in.
Everyone is using the litter box
and eating solid food, although
they still get lots of nourishment from mom.
Ialso put colored bands on their necks to help me tell them apart,
I have never had a litter where everyone looks so much alike.
This is Sheldon (red band) with Grandma Sheba.

This is Leslie, she is by far the bravest of the kittens.
She has already trekked through the entire house,
she also loves Oreo and scares the poor dog
by running right up to her.
This is the other little girl Penny discovering cat toys.
Its fun watching them explore and discover the house.
Although they have had toys around since they were born,
they are just learning what to do with them.
