Sisters

Lily likes to get in and help with her nieces and nephews.
Myrrh and Lily do everything together even raise the babies.
They are so calm and peaceful when there are kittens.
The kittens are toddling around now.
Their eyes and ears are open and they are trying to play with each other.
This bunch is very vocal.
When we say "hi, babies" several of them look up and meow at us.

Presenting!

Myrrh's babies arrived safe, sound and a little early (by my calculations) Wednesday evening.
The birthing process is always fun and interesting for me to observe. These cats really have purrsonalities. As soon as I saw that Myrrh was in labor, she was purring loudly and meowing some and her water had broken, I put her in the "kittening box". She lay right down and stayed there. She would leave if I didn't stay with her, so I quickly grabbed some towels, rags, dental floss (to tie embilical cords) scissors and rubbing alcohol to clean the scissors and we settled down to business.
The first kitten was born at 7 p.m. and the last at 10 p.m. Aunt Lily came by and kept an eye on precedings but just watched. Grandma Sheba helped a bit. She helped cut cords and clean up the new babies. Myrrh didn't require any assistance from me except to cut the cord on the last kitten. She was so tired I did this for her.
Baby Skye came by to visit and was very interested in all the commotion but hissed and left. Mia came to say hi and so did Oreo and Maggie. At one point there were kitties lined up just watching mom and her new babies, it looked a little like a feline version of the Nativity scene. Wish I'd had my camera for that one!
So the grand total is 5, not sure who is boys and girls yet but will sort that all out eventually.

NEXT!!

Skye is getting bigger and prettier everyday.
Soon she will be the big kid instead of the littlest.
Myrrh likes her tummy rubbed.
If you are very patient you can feel babies kicking.
Myrrh is about worn out and getting huge.
New kitties are due Dec 10!

JillyBoo & Mr. Fuzzypants

I got a new pic of the last two meezers.
Mr. Fuzzypants is on the left.
JillyBoo is on the right.
This is a good way to see the difference between the chocolatepoint (left) and the sealpoint (right). These two are Lily's kids born June 3, so they are almost 5 months old. They are not as big as mom yet and still have plenty of silly kitten left in them.

Squeak

I got some good closeups of Squeak today so you could see how handsome he is.
Notice his tail is his darkest point.

This sweet face has a very lightly colored nose and ears.

You can see why this is termed a doll-face.

And the eyes are a precious baby blue.

Squeak still enjoys snuggles with mama Mia and sister Skye.

A New Face

We have a new little guy available now.
His name is "Squeak" after the sound he made when he was tiny.
At first he did not like being picked up and so far away from the ground.
He's over that now.
Here you can see his points the best.
He is very white with orangecream points.
His mom is a registered Persian (here in the corner of pic with his sister)

Dad is my bluepoint Siamese.

He is a classic creampoint Himalayan.
In this face on view you can see he has a longer nose and slimmer face than a traditional Himalayan. This is called a dollface.
Mr Fuzzypants is still looking for a forever home.
He likes to help on the computer and is teaching me to type with one had and scratch ears with the other.
These two little sealpoint girls have a blast tearing through the house.
They are both gorgeous girls and real lovebugs.

MEEZER TESTED AND APPROVED

This is a public service announcement brought to you by Cat Whispers.

They're going like hotcakes!

Sheba, mom of all, she gets upset when the kittens go to their new homes. It doesn't matter if it's her kitten or not. If she sees them leave she will go around the house looking for them and crying. She has one girl left. JuJuBee (sealpoint) is a lot like her mom, Sheba.
Since her sisters left she has been clingy and comes to us for attention often.
Oreo is wondering why the kitties get their pics taken all the time. She's a pretty girl too. She loves the kitties and lets me know if need something.
Lily is apparently exhausted from dealing with the kids.

This is Lily's daughter JillyBoo (sealpoint) in the back with Sheba's JuJuBee (sealpoint) in the foreground.
This is the only little sweet boy left.
Mr. Fuzzypants is Lily's (chocolate point).
He misses my son Grant who has gone off to college.
He was pretty much his constant companion all summer.
Mr. Fuzzypants is smiling at me.

Gettin Rowdy

Things are getting rowdy in our house.
Constant games of ambush and tackle.
Jilly Boo likes finding stuff to sit in and look cute.
Hide in here and we can pounce on Auntie Myrrh!
Auntie M is NOT amused!
Get these kids outta here!
Time for a trip to the great outdoors-AKA "the porch".

Um, this is new!
Nice swing but a little "swingy".
Chocolate boy glamour shot!
My it's big out there!
Wunder wuts in here?

I hope I don't get blamed for the footprints!
The kitties enjoyed their first trip out on the porch. They were a bit cautious and the flag on the porch worried them when it flapped in the breeze. Everyone was glad to get back in to the house.

Census

You may be wondering at this point exactly how many cats we have in our house. We have 4 Siamese adults that we breed, Sheba, Myrrh, Lily and Weezer. One retired Siamese stud cat-Solomon. One persian-Mia, and one Maine Coon Mix-Lynx. Lily has 5 kittens, Sheba has 4 kittens and Mia has 2 kittens.

We have seven litterboxes and spend an unreal amount on catfood. There are also two dogs, Maggie and Oreo.

I am very grateful that my husband and children love and enjoy the animals as much as I do.

Sheba's 6-18-08

One of Sheba's favorite spots is the Meezer Rocker. She can monitor the kids and the TV from here. Sheba loves babies. When she doesn't have her own to snuggle she will make some up, she will pretend toys or socks are babies and carry them around the house.
Soon enough these little ones are up and around. They are hilarious pouncing and running through the house. This one is temporarily hostile. They get over it pretty fast.

Its fun to sneak up on someone who is distracted by the camera.

Trashing the bathroom is a popular activity.

These two are chillin on the bathroom rug, the little one is Sheba's, the larger one is Lily's
Sheba's kids are all sealpoints.

Lily's 2nd Batch Born 6-3-08

This is a first look at Lily's babies in what we like to call a meezer pile. The kittens are born white or cream colored and develop the points in a few days. We make sure to hold, kiss and talk to each one every day so that they and mom get used to being handled. Their eyes and ears are closed at birth so the touch and smell of us is important for them to learn.

This is a very happy Lily loving on her babies. Look at that contented face!

In just about 2 weeks everybody's eyes are open and the kittens begin batting at each other. Notice the toys in the box? Mom brought those in the kitten box with her!

Bathtime is frequent, the kittens squirm and fuss, aw mom cut it out!

Soon the kittens begin thinking outside the box! Let me out! I know there is fun stuff to do out there!

As soon as we bring them out they are terrified. Not too terrified to explore though. You know what they say about curiousity and the cat.

Soon they come to the edge of the bed, or the end of this world. They will go right off, so we are ready to catch them!

It seems like in no time they are big enough to get up on the bed all by themselves. This sweet baby is a lilac point.

Mr. Fuzzypants-chocolate boy
Mr. Cocopugs-seal boy

Welcome

This is the place to get information about cats and kittens now available from the Cat Whispers Cattery.

We work very hard to raise happy healthy Siamese cats. Our cats are registered with the Traditional Cat Association. They are considered Traditional Classic Siamese. This means they are the old fashioned Siamese, they are not wedge or apple heads.

My sire is Capn' Jack Weezer he is a handsome Bluepoint, he comes from parents who carry all the color genes and has produced Sealpoints, Chocolate points, Bluepoints and Lilac points. He loves to be held and to be close to us.

My first queen is Sheba. She is a beautiful Sealpoint, she comes from a strong solid line of Sealpoints. She is my BFF (best furry friend). She is my constant companion. She likes to go places in the car with me. She also has a pack that she likes to ride in when we go for walks. She likes shopping! She is very brave and is not afraid of strange dogs.

My other two queens are Sheba and Solomon's daughters. Solomon is an applehead Sealpoint, he has been neutered and serves as our guard cat. He is very lovey but tries to hide it.

Myrrh is my very best Mommy and Auntie. She loves babies and has a solid calm purrsonality. She is my golden retriever's BFF.

Lily is my most beautiful. She is very protective of her babies. She is quite independant and has produced beautiful kittens.

Our kittens are well socialized. We have 2 other cats and 2 dogs.

I hope you will enjoy the pictures and stories we have to share.
